Is it possible for an Evo to appreciate in value?

Bring an Evo to Canada, if there was a way to register them legally, you would definitely be able to get more then what you paid for it. Unfortunately that can't happen though, stupid Canadian laws

The future price of your Evo will depend on things that have yet to happen so it is hard to say now. Almost any mint condition sports car will have less depreciation over time than your average vehicle. However wether or not it goes up in value has to do with the way things play out in a history which hasn't happened yet.

if they discontinued them...they are already legendary cars...so they dont depreciate fast...so if they stopped making them...they would stop going down and after about 10 years...after they stopped...the price MIGHT rise

the only reason those supras appreciated in value was because of the discontinuation just like the grand nationals. If the y were to do that to the EVO in 10-15 years youd seee the same result......BUT you wont

Why so sure?
I heard some people saying that the IX (particulary US MR & European model with AYC) will be considered as the last real EVOs and will be collectible. Ok there are a lot of IX but did you ever ask your dealer how many new units return crashed in the first six month? Of course new X will probably get great marketshare but legend start with the old looking duck we all love! remember the famous golf rabbit...get old but also heavy, soft and lost the GTI life on its way... To my mind, let's enjoy what we can now! I am not sure my back will resist to an EVO in 10 more years :-)

It will hold its value well, if well maintained and in mint condition. Just like the 2nd generation eclipse gsx which had the 4g63 turbo. low mileage well maintained still gets top dollar and anybody willing to buy it.
