STOCK
Evo = Big turbo + small engine = more lag
STI = Small turbo + Big engine = less lag

Bigger turbo
Evo = bigger turbo + small engine = even more lag
STI = bigger turbo + big engine = more power

so in this case since every evo vs sti = you did, the evo lost.
We can come out only one conclusion:
Based on fact, every test came out: Evo is a winner.... or any evo vs sti event overall winner solid evo dominance. Pluss the fact the STI always had more hp and tq from factory. Pluss if i'm right the STI even lighter.

The overall engine and drive train engeneering is better in the Evo.
Think about it... based every theory you put it up there vs reality..

So the Evo have to be a waaaaay a better engeneered car . Other wise how you explain it. How about that?

numbers vs real life.... i pick the real life.

I would say that the STi has a much more "stout " drivetrain than an evo...

haha, ok I'm kidding about the SRT-4.
lol Good.

Let's stick to comparing REAL rally cars here. I would never do the same comparision with the SRT-4.

By the way, it is a TD04-14B Im pretty sure. Thats the size of the WRX turbo (which is WAY smaller than the STi )

I think that both cars are amazing works of engineering...my buddy has an 06 sti and i love to ride in it, and vice versa....

hating a car just because you own one of its competitors is ridiculous...they both have pro's and con's and both are performers...

^ +1, appreciate both cars. They both are awesome.

Oh and the STi drivetrain absolutely pwns the EVO drivetrain.

Also the EVO is underrated in hp/tq from the factory, i think we can all agree with that.
the 4g63 is stout and amazing as well all know though.

Fastest stock turbo STi is 11.7 btw, not 11.9

The most shocking part to me were:
Flapper
compressor
and the header merging inlet. perhaps it was twice the size.
