Picked it up from Nino at www.ninosautoaccessories.com for $180 shipped. Good service.
I also talked to people at Perrin to get some more info about the product. The guy at talked to (John) was very helpful and patient with me.
I called them to ask about the installation, because it appears that there is an "issue" with the retaining bracket that is mounted on top of the pivot on the stock shifter. Our car is made in such a way that you have to remove the part by doing 1 of the 3 things:
1. Cut the stock shifter in half (you can weld it later)
2. Use a commercial press to push the ball from the shaft
3. Chop the sides of the retainer off and remove it (have to order the new retainer piece from Mitsu)
None of the above appeal to me.
Someone mentioned to me that some EVOs were made "properly" and you can remove the bracket without "messing it up". I will check tonight and let you guys know.

I forgot to mention that the Perrin shifter is adjustable i.e. you can control the "length" of the throws. I have not seen the B&M one in person, but Perrin is very nicely made. Looks quality (as much as a shifter can ).

I have the Perrin short shifter installed. At the time, Jeff at Perrin said to cut the stock shifter. It has great adjustability and feel, but requires some trial and error adjustments to get it just right. Then it is great. Highly recommended. I got mine from Mark at quantum-racing.com -- highly recommended.

Don't cut the stock shifter. I believe he is referring to the retainer piece that holds down the shifter over the ball pivot. If your car is like mine the bezel that holds the boot may or may not be filed down. Mine wasn't so the retainer piece won't come off. You can pick that up for $20 at the dealership. If you can I recommend filing down the bezel to get the retainer off and keep your stock shifter intact. Otherwise pay $20 and buy the retainer piece. Check my install on the B&M in the How To's section. I go into this some more there and give the part # for the retainer piece.
Check your shifter assembly first as not all Evo's have this problem.
