Oh, and as for the thread topic, someone driving a white 06-07 STi flashed his high beams at me the other day and waved (I returned, naturally). It's starting to seem like I'm getting more love from STis than Evos.

 

I thought there was more than that. Maybe only 1700 MR editions

Highbeam Flash, nod, or a couple revs depending on my mood.

Though I think that due to my age I don't get much respect from anyone who doesn't know me. Most of the times when I give people a nod, they blow past me. I'm guessing they think I wanna race or something >_<

 

sometimes... if they are like going the other way right by me and i dont get my hand up in time at least they can hear me rev since at that point that would have already passed me...

 

That's what I'm thinking too. If there were only 1700 IXs brought to the US, it wouldn't be unbelievable that they'd appreciate in value someday. It is, after all, the last of the 4G63-powered Evos. It seems like there just have to be tons more than 1700, though.

 

Sti owners are friendly as well as evos. WRX owners however stare me down and try to race me like I'm satans offspring for some reason.

 

yeah i love to wave to my fellow owners. around here half are just high-budget ricers (at least mental and attitude-wise) who try to look at you hard as they shift and make sure you can hear their stupid SSQV while the car bucks for a second.

the best experience i had was driving the mountain pass to Estes Park, Co from Boulder. there happened to be a irish or scottish festival going on that day and on the way i passed 2 evos and an STi, all separate. all three gave huge friendly grins and excited waves. because we all knew what a great drive it was and how great our and each others' cars were. that was awesome. just another reason i love CO.

no love from the evo's in RI. A year ago when I first got my car I barely saw any evo's in this state. Now there are a whole **** ton and none of them wave..except for spins4. Got some nods and waves from supras, an sti, and a wrx all the rest just rev or blow off...oh yeah and how could I forget the ricer fly-by

 

No one by me seems friendly. I see two STIs (same ones) each week who wave, beep, or flash the lights. Oh yeah, and this ricey *** civic, but guy seems nice.

 

The STi guys out here just glare or rev. Very few actually throw the deuce.

 

i don't see alot of evo's around my town, but i do see one silver one. i kinda know him but don't really like him so never waved. there is this red one in town i always see going pass me, but he just don't have the time to wave cause he is ripping it pass by me!!! so.. i really never got any NOD or Wave from anyone, oh yea, and the str and sti, wrx people just stare me down.
