35r on stock block?
what are your guys thoughts on running a GT35R turbo on a stock block? is it a good idea? i was planning on just going all out instead on getting a evo green turbo. im sure it will be fine if i run a moderate tune and boost, like 20-25 psi? anyone doing this right now? just trying to get some info guys...

I have a 35r on my car and it makes just about 500whp(dynojet) on pump with 24-25 psi.

You are really understanding the mechanics of a 35R Turbo and it's relation to boost.. Just because you have a bigger turbo won't always guarantee the best results.. Having a smaller Green Turbo and maximizing it's potential might yield much better results than gimping a 35R Turbo. 35R Turbo's where designed with more boost in mind the problem is on a stock block you can do it but don't blame me if you blow the engine up sooner than you expected. You will definately minimize the life.. As they say.. you pay to play. Having MAX HP doesn't always mean you have a faster car.. It all depends on what you want the car for.. and that it's main application utilizes the turbo's design.

Wow. First besides the fact he could have searched he did nothing wrong. Next the guys that flamed him were wrong. This isn't NASIOC. Grow up ****in kids.
Anyway, yes with full bolt ons and a good clutch people have run 35Rs on a stock block. Your spool will be pretty laggy though. I would def reccomend Alky just to get a little more power though,
