quick quest.
I'm sure there about 5000 people using gauge pillars.
I had them on my first DSM, but I don't like them. They're more of a ricer mod nowadays. I prefer steering column and center console gauges.

i have the pillar gauges on my 1g from the previous owner and i hate them. like warrtalon said steering column is the way to go. you are already looking at the tach. why move your eyes up to check the boost. it is as bad as the mitsubishi gauges below the radio. dangerous in my opinion. plus they create a weird blind spot. hope this helps. thanks.
i was thinking about your post so i went out to the garage and snapped a quick pic. it's so nice looking at all the gauges at once. it's like a cockpit. sorry for the ****ty cell phone pic but you get the idea. thanks.

steering column is probably the best, like the RMR carbon one or the ATI ( I think that is the name of it), but I went with the Gruppe-S center console panel and mounted the boost closest to me. I love it! It is functional and easy to see at a glance, and it looks great! Well you can be the judge....
