I say we go back to Steele next friday night. When they close down we go back into town for the DJ a thon down at the Station. I saw a flyer showing all the different DJ's that will be spining the music. Should be fun...Racing and Dancing. Let's get Trae to go too.
Ill try to pull out 12.5 flat or lower ???????????
I meant a correction equation to see what I would have run with cooler temps?
thnx.....Q

Sorry man, I'm not going back for a while. I've had my fill of drags on my current setup. I know what kind of 60' and trap I'm capable of and that's enough for me. I'll go back when I get some more mods. I need to worry about my house for now.
I don't know of an equation to calculate "what ifs" in drag racing. It's assumed that a certain time is possible with a given trap. It might also be assumed that in cooler temps you could trap XXX. I don't know.
I don't know what is up with or times. It seems to me that I'm shifting pretty darn fast and that's the only place I could be losing time. If people are claiming ~12.3 @ 110 then something weird is definitely going on here and .3" are vanishing somewhere in the air at Steele.
In comparison to the 12.5 - 12.99 thread we are running along with the majority of 12.5 - 12.6 cars. There don't seem to be many people hitting 12.5 @ < 110, but there is room for improvement on your shifting. The most common trap for 12.6 seems to be 110, which is exactly where I am. But, since 60' times aren't listed I can't compare that to what I "should" have gotten with my 1.62.

Pictures are worth a 1000 words...

As far as the Typhoon intake, I honestly told him the same thing you guys are telling him. I heard the thing was crap and severely threw off the MAF readings causing problems with the mix. I honestly planned on taking a while to adjust the MAF scalings for this. However, when I showed up to tune his car his fuel trims were dead on. I saw a deviation of +3% max in the STFTs and LTFTs stayed at 0 (well, 100 in EvoScan). This deviation in STFTs was only present at idle. STFTs decreased and settled in the +1% range during cruise conditions. It seems that the intake didn't skew the readings much at all.
I will also add that the intake (be it the filter or the pipe) did wonders in smoothing the airflow curve during WOT. Airflow is super smooth over the entire rev band in comparison to my stock intake and filter.

It's definitely doable. My first two 12.3 runs were @ 110 and that was with 1.7 60fts. Couldn't seem to break into 1.6's. My next two 12.3's, my mph did go up, 112 and 113. I need to deflate my tires next time I go to the track as all my track time was on stock tire pressure. Hopefully it'll improve my 60ft times.

I launch at 5500rpms. I was shifting between gears at about 75-7600rpms and I was crossing the line in 4th.
