I have the clutch masters stg 4 6 puck sprung. I LOVE it. It holds and grabs harder than my old twin yet has as soft or softer pedal feel. It grabs so hard it bogs on a launch and its very streetable. I drive 40 miles to and from work so I would know. Dont just go for what everyone says get what you really need!

This was my thought exactly. For the amount of money that you're spending on building up your Evo, you really should just save up for the Exedy Twin Disc HD. It is far superior to the ACT 6 puck or street disc. I've been running that in my car and I love it. It takes some getting used to because you have to rev it up a bit higher in order to get it to move. Other than that, it is very streetable and has been proven time and time again as far as reliability on the track. The extra money is well worth it because it would be a damn shame to cheap out on this particular part right now and then have to deal with replacing it down the road.

Also, you may want to consider the comment stated earlier about how one should take off while using a 6 puck. Taking it easy on that clutch is not good for it. Also, one more thing to consider is that the Exedy Twin is rebuildable. So, should something happen to it, rather than spending $1500ish on a new one it would only cost about $500 to rebuild...don't exactly qoute me on that last part. I can't quite remember the figures on that.

My xtss does not lock me out. I have a SS clutch cable and took the restrictor out though.

^^sweet...thanks man. I just want a clutch that will hold good power and i don't care if i have to change it after a while. I don't drag race too much...maybe 3 to 4 times a year.
