The best I ever managed was trans axle, TC, and rear dif for $40 Unless you've been driving pretty hard, I don't think you're due for a TC change yet, are you. Maybe it's a '05 thing (where Mitsu Stealerships are looking to increase their profits).

Try to find the shadiest place you can, and get some quotes....

BTW! you want to put RedLine "Heavy Duty" Shockproof in the TC
if using the diaqueen which is recomended then that alone is like $70... gotta buy it by the can (1gal) even though u need less thana quart

well this would start to justify dealer pricing a tad more. I know for a fact that my $20 oil change is mobil synthetic 1. But for the TC, not sure what they are using.

but usually just the mobil 1 oil is about $25-$30 for 1gal of oil its about $27-$33 or so if u buy 4 single qt's so thats still odd that u can get a $20 oil change not to mention the filter is abot $7

beats me, but they always run the pricing specials. I have no clue. Starting to sound that you guys think i should go to the dealership. Well, I do have a whine on start up in the Tcase down shifting, the passenger window is slow to up down, and the fourth gear been hanging up. Oh and the center console fell apart. Maybe time to get this looked at. I can type up a nice list and bring it LOL. Drop it off on a wed and get my car rental lol.

If you don't have a reputable garage you trust already or that a friend can recommend, go to the dealership for maintenance until you find one. I see paying the dealership premium as the peace of mind option. If you find a legit garage that knows performance cars and is cheaper, go there. but for now, especially cause it sounds like you need warranty work, take it to the dealer!

Unless there's a recall on the 05' TC's they are gonna fix it under warranty and they will say that your driving caused the issue.

Don't go to the stealer.

M1 full synthetic in the engine. $25?
RedLine Heavy Duty Shockproof in the TC. $12?

I like going to the dealer to build a reputation with them. That way if there is a problem and you need warranty work they will take care of you so you return as a customer.

For those prices 20 bucks for oil change..... Sounds like they are dumping some type of snake oil in a mobile one bottle into your car. go buy the oil and fluids youself. bring them to the guy and let him do it.

Not all stealerships are bad for warranty issues. (but a majority are... )

This shop does not sound good. Way to cheap to be the correct fluids. Do it yourself with the right fluids or take it to the dealership.
