only fornt wheels spinning

yeah i was wondering if anyone else had ever had this problem or might be able to tell me what the hell is up with my car. i just put a shep transfercase in it about 2000 miles ago and i havent launched it or anything. i put it on a lift and only my front wheels spin. so i dont know if it is the transfercase again or the transmission or what is up. if u know anything i would greatly aprreciate it. thanks darrell

If you mean that you are spinning them by hand it is because the front diff. is open but the rear has an lsd.

Did you call Shep? You should give him a call and ask him. No body knows the drivetrain of an evo like Shep.

If you spin the wheel by hand all 4 wheels should spin.

Do you mean that the rear wheels of the car, when your on the throttle (giving it gas), do not spin?

Or...

You car was on a lift, not running, in gear, and only the front wheels spin when turning the wheels by hand?

I'm pretty sure what he means is this:

-He put his car on the lift
-Started the engine
-Put it in 1st gear
-Gave it some throttle and only the front wheels spin
