by watching this vid. my knee jerk is that Buschur, Nisei, Perrin are probably the top 3 ICs.

 

and ebay, dont forget them.

 

the ebay stuff has different fins. I know this cause I have one. Surface area is not the same also.

 

What about volume and its effect on lag? Bigger is always better?

 

you might not be getting as much lag, BUT the air is not as cool.

Ill take a little lag for the cooler air.

 

Don't forget ARC intercoolers are D best!

 

ebay intercoolers are tempting, i might get one, cant beat 150$ (est.4"X13"X24")

 

yes they are, But the ebay IC doesent have as many cooling tubes and and the fins are different. and that dimension that you are showing- you will have to cut crash beam like the Buschur.
Im not cutting my crash beam unless its the Buschur cause its been PROVEN that the Buschur IC gained 5mph in trap over the ebay

Hey I have an ebay IC. im just telling you what I know.

 

If you got the money anything that uses a garrett core will do you just well, because all garrett cores. I am personally changing my intercooler for a precision one. Not overpriced and they work great.
