I have APR front wind splitter on my Evo VIII Bumper, but damaged my stock lip. I was wondering if there a CF replacement lip that will work with the splitter. Actually, any aftermarket lip that will work with factory undertray cause the splitter mounts the same way undertray does.

the APR splitter will damage the front bumper or lip sometimes both over 130 mph.
sell the splitter and get the ralliart front lip.

 

Try the JDP engineering CF lip. It looks absolutely awesome and the quality is incredible. Yeah you can go ralliart but i don't think they even make one for evo 8s....but i am not really sure. You are going to pay dearly for the Ralliart than the JDP engineering one....JDM HYPE ya know .

 

Well I've been over 130 at the track numerous times and everything is fine! I just need a lip that would work with the splitter. If I wanted to sell the splitter I would have done so already!

 

They make a Ralliart for the 8s, some vendor on here is selling them for $750 shipped.

 

Looking at the JDP engineering site the link to products was not working. looks really nice any idea how much it costs?

 

wow...like i said its will be expensive if they make one for the 8s. no way i will pay $750 for a CF lip.....even if it is JDM .

Yes that will work fine. One of the guys that works at AMS in MD (Not AutoMotoSports) Has the APR splitter and CF lip on his TA car. Dont know where the person got the splitter will mess up the lip at over 130.

 

^^^^ Yea, but what I was asking - which lip?! I know that it work fine, whoever said that the splitter will mess up the bumper and the lip had no idea what they were talking about

 

Any lip that has the mounting points for the stock undertray theoretically could work. Might take some modification though. Wouldn't recommend doing this if you drive your car a lot.

just as an example though, here is the seibon varis style lip, notice it has clips for the stock undertray? The splitter would bolt onto these, but this doesnt look like it would be secure

I was just looking at this one. Seems that it would work. I was looking for any lip that would have those mounting points for stock undertray (because that's where the splitter mounts). Most lips were replacement lips with no mounting points, like Buschur's lip.

I bought Buschur's lip and it works alright with the splitter. Slight mods had to be done, but nothing major. Looks good too
