Insurance on the EVO

Why is it when i call around for insurance none of them can find the EVO VIII to give me a quote on it.
You EVO owners who are you insured through, and anything I should tell the quoter to help them find the car better in their system?

You need the vin number and they need to call the main office or something, at least thats what happened with me. It only took them like 5 minutes to call me back with a quote. My insurance only went up 49 dollars, from a SENTRA. hahaha, yeah hopefully they nevr catch on.

Jeff

BTW, I have state farm.

It probably isn't in their system. you may have to get it insured as an OZ.

The EVO VIII is in most insurance companies systems. It can be identified through the VIN. My insurance dropped $20.00 a payment as compared to my Infiniti I30 that I traded in.

Just got my new yearly premium from Liberty Mutual today and the Evo is going to cost me $3988 this year. 500 deductable and 1,000,000 umbrella. I basically have the maximum protection you can get. I'm under my parents policy and have every possible discount applied. I'm 21 with no points, and an accident last year which I was found to be not to be at fault

I'm 21 male in a big city and pay 125/month for full coverage at Geico. My limits aren't bare minimum either, cuz I upped some of the coverages. But I have a clean record, took 6hr defensive driving online, and have a really high credit score.

None of the companies have the evo8 in their system. Most will either identify the car as an OZ Rally or just a plain Mitsubishi. Get a quote online, and list it as an OZ Rally, and when you call them to confirm your order, make sure they know it's an evo8 and that they didn't list that. Most of the times they're unsure, but if you give them a VIN #, they'll know you're serious about the quote and will look into it immediately.

Im 23, and it will cost me $1600 for me and my gf max full coverage/$500 deducatible for 6 months. $3200/year to be exact if I choose State Farm.

Geico wanted $2200 for 6 months, $4400 year.

Guess where Im going to pick =)

BTW: Statefarm didnt have the EVO in their system, so it will take about 3-4 days to get the paperwork done for the insurance.
