Everytime I go to shift in to third gear (above 6k rpms) it will just sit there and grind and not go in! I have new synchros, and have the clutch pedal adjusted. Anyone know what this could be?! I'm sick of it!!

 

what fluid are you using?

 

Well mits. changed my synchros 2k miles ago, so whatever fluid they used. What fluid do you use? No matter what unless I shift EXTREMLY slow into third above 6k rpms it wont go in.

 

Take it back have them warranty work that last service job......

 

sounds like a turbo problem. Get a new turbo and it just so happens that I have one for sale

i run penziol senchromesh same as the bg stuff only cheaper...you can get it at autozone in a yellow bottle...try that and if that doesnt change anything take it back to mitsu

 

^^^^ are you stupid? Dont change the fluid or Mitsu will blame it on the new fluid. Take it to Mitsu... they changed it last anyway...

 

how long has this been a issue? were the syncros replaced in a attempt to fix the 3rd gear grind? or did it shift fine before and after the syncros were replaced and you just started getting the grind?

excuse me? i happen to ****ing work for mitsubishi and there not gonna know whether you changed the fluid they put in there or not you ****in moron...

change the fluid and see if that helps.....its as simple as that.......but thats just me...but then again i never put my car in the shop....

 

Mitsu is a laugh.....
I went in to warrenty my ash tray light bulb. And they voided my drivetrain....but fixed my ash tray light lol.

I get a 3rd gear grind when going into gear. Ix mr. Act clutch. I would try going in and tell them what your problem is.

 

yeah there pretty bad about voiding warrantys........but you cant blaim them really because thats just money comming out of there pocket .
