I owned an 87 mustang 5.0 that i turboed..i needed a daily driving reliable car and 450hp on a stock block 5.0 was pretty much a ticking time bomb. i test drove the new mustang and a few other cars but i just couldnt get away from the feel of a turbo

I came from previously owning 2 Trans Am WS6's. I originally was going to buy a Supra at the time of those cars, but that was the time that the prices for them were skyrocketing and I couldn't justify spending the money on a car that was fairly old even if I were able to get a '98.

I have always been a guy that loves cars that will go fast and handle well. While the WS6 did handle well for what it was, it would seem uncharacteristic for someone like myself to own that car as my only one. I definitely miss the car and everything that everyone else has brought up about V8's but obviously I love my Evo way more. This car is me and I couldn't really say that for the LS1. I don't care for drag racing as I am more focused on being able to take 90 degree turns at 90 mph...something the WS6 could never do.

I came from a '96 Mustang GT...'97 Trans Am WS6....'99 Camaro SS....02 Mustang GT Convertible....03 Cobra (498 rwhp).....to 06 Evo MR. The Cobra was just plain frightening at times especially when you floor it on the freeway and lose traction.

Traded in a 97 mustang gt for my ix. mustang was dog slow compared! only thing mustang excelled at was exhaust noise, full exhaust no cats (evo has turboback, no cat).

Have a buddy whom back in 04 came from a 99 mustang that was fairly quick; low 13's... and bought a white RS evo. After he bought the car and showed it off to his mustang buddies it seemed they all resented him for going to the darkside. Him buying that car caused so much turmoil between him and everyone we hung out with who owned mustangs it was hilarious. I never new a car can cause so much controversy lol.

Yep other cars I have had a Pro Street Nova with a 302DZ (450hp) with a Powerglide and mini tub Candy Apple red(why did I sell you????), 69 C10 full size truck with built Vette 327 and a S10 SS built 4.3 v6. Chevy man but I love my Evo.
All my buddies have muscle cars also.

All my past cars where fast in a straight line but could not turn with a Damn, thats why I love the Evo it does everything great. It does everything great

Years ago I had a 96 Firebird Formula with an LT1. I then switched to an RSX-S and then to the Evo. I went from tons of torque, scary handling -> no torque, good handling -> torque and excellent handling.

There's nothing like a having a car with a V8 that can roast your rear tires and let you do things the Dukes of Hazard would be proud of. But honestly, IMHO live axles suck and belong back in the 60's. Going in a straight line gets boring. The true driver's experience is in the turns.

The Evo is the best of both worlds. Power and handling. No complaints whatsoever.
