Rear Click sound when hiting brakes?

When i'm backing up, I get a rear click sound, not a clunk that the rear deff does, but a click and its bugging the **** out of me cause its so loud that it sounds like the car is breaking, also it does it at slow speeds 1st gear, could it be my brakes? I was thinking the rear strut? axle? something suspension wise? and as well my tranny grinds at high speeds only, when i put it in neutral and back into 5th?

Thanks

is it a click or a clunk? just pull the wheel off and check it out.

its clicking.... i've checked the brakes and just changed them about 4000 miles ago, and turned the rotor's it sounds like the rotor's are moving and when i hit the brake they are getting pushed back

Most likely it is because the new brake pads do not fit perfectly with the calipers and theres room for it to shift around. When you brake while reversing it causes the brake to shift to the opposite side and thats why it clicks.

yes, its most like the brake pads shifting a little. i like that noise on my cars cus then i know the pads aren't seized and dragging haha
