Rear and front breaks making a weird clicking sound?

For a couple of weeks now i have been experiencing some strange clicking sound exactly like when one is to run over a piece of metal on the street...........it sound like metal on metal sometimes it's the front and sometimes it's the rear......i'll hear it when i slow down or when i an driving off........but like i said it's not all the time i notice it more at very low speeds...then again i probably wouldn't hear at higher speed cause of traffic and what not........does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this......

aside from dat another question: i bought my car in nov 08.....it said my next maintenance was suppose to be at 7500 miles....ooookkkk! kool! but it's now april i only have about 3200 miles on it and the periodic inspection reminder comes on when i turn my car on....this started 2-3 days ago. does dat make sense?

could the two be connected??????

help please if you can?????????????

Hi - I am hitting you back.

That annoying "periodic Maintenance" thing came on in my car too at around 3000 miles. I don't believe it has anything to do with the brakes.

If you look in your manual, it will tell you how to reset it.

The periodic inspection thing is set to 6months/7500miles. You just need to reset it and itll quiet down.

As for the breaks, is there any rust building up on the rotors?

no. no rust......but i don't think dat would cause the metal clicking.....it's just weird.....it sounds like two thin metal rods banging against each other......
