My trip from IL to AZ to get my EB...
whats up ladies and gents... first off, i'd like to say hi to everybody. i'm not completely new to the boards; i've been on here for a good month or two trolling the for-sale area, looking for a perfect EB IX with some leather dished out in the interior. my search ended last weekend when i found a seller on autotrader. secondly, i'd like to apologize ahead of time for my lack of using the "shift" key to capitalize things... i'm just lazy
so... saturday me and my buddy flew out to AZ from chicago. we ended up in phoenix, and took a 2nd flight to tucson. purchased the car from the owner, and took off. ended up driving about 2000 miles in 2 days (AZ, NM, TX, OK, Missouri, Illinois)!! i won't get into the details, but it was an incredible, yet quick trip with lots of scenery, and plenty of driving!
as for the car, it has ~21k miles now, and a beautiful shine of electric blue! the only option is leather/suede recaro seats. the owner tinted all of the door windows, and the rear window... and also installed an alpine deck, and (most importantly) for shoes/feet, a set of 18x8 metallic black rims with a metallic silver lip and innard (forget the brand, gonna check later).
pics below! we didn't make a lot of stops, so the pics are mostly to show off the car (
), and give a snapshot of some of the interesting components of the road trip.
looking forward to meeting some of you ILlinoisians!

Good choice on the color i have the same! I guess you didnt stay long enough in AZ to enjoy our 119 degree humidity and great dust storms during this monsoon season. LOL good luck with the car man
thanks for the comments, folks!
the chocolate rain did hit when i returned to homeland (IL)... but didn't last long.
that spider in the pic was about the size of a large human hand. believe me, i didn't get that close... it was all about the zoom.
about AZ - the weather was interesting; it was 108 when we touched down in phoenix, but tucson was a cool, dry 90 (lol).
