Unusual Mileage for a brand new evo.
Yeah, I also got mine as a leftover 04 model in early 05. Luckily it was never driven. They wouldn't even let me drive it until we started the paperwork. At that point I said forget it. I knew it was the car for me. And they gave me a big discount for it being an older model. I was happy.
I should have done something like that...my dealership only had one other Evo and it was a floor model...I should have demanded that one after I finished my deal. Dag nabit
Some dealers don't even do test drives. But some designate one vehicle (usually a return) as a test vehicle and then wait till the end to sell it at a "discount".
The dealership I bought my IX from had an VIII as a test vehicle. They asked me if I wanted to drive it but I didn't even bother.
My IX had 6.7 mi on it when I drove it off the lot.

Usually Mitsu dealers don't drive evo's to other dealers. They flatbed them to the destination. It costs more, but at least you know nobody was beating the hell out of your brand new car. I wouldn't purchase a new vehicle with more than 20 or so miles on it. I think I got mine with like 11 or something.
i had an 06 mr se that i bought with less than ten miles on it.i was driving the car until i had to go back to the dealership and finish signing papers.the car did not pull really well on top end and it threw a cel at 100 miles.i gave the car back to the dealership with 300 miles on it and bought an 06 se instead, because it pulled really hard on top end it had 50 miles on it.
Mine had 7 miles on it, so I took that as a good omen (7-Elevens. 7 doors. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch, 7 minute abs, etc.) so I bought it right away...
