Unusual Mileage for a brand new evo.
Well my buddies looking to pick up a brand new mr se soon so we went down to maywood mitsubishi to check out a few brand new mr se's that they had had left the salesman men we talked to was very helpful and even let us take one for a test drive. But on thing that stood out to me about the car was that it said 173 on the odometer does anyone find this unusually high mileage for a brand new evo
mine came with close to 200 something. but it also came down from NH... and i'm in NY... Thats was the only palce they could find another black evo back in 03... I went to the lot the day it came in to look at it and it had mud allll over the tires and car. Guess the person who drove it down had ALOT of fun with it. But she's still holding on strong. so it wasn't a problem for me at all

Usually Mitsu dealers don't drive evo's to other dealers. They flatbed them to the destination. It costs more, but at least you know nobody was beating the hell out of your brand new car. I wouldn't purchase a new vehicle with more than 20 or so miles on it. I think I got mine with like 11 or something.
Mine had 10 miles on it, but the one I test drove had about 70 miles. The dealer was like," I'm not giving you that one." So he was pretty cool about it. Most dealers won't give you the test car, but if they do, don't take it! You know those cars are driven hard.
Sweet!! Mine also had 10 miles on it when I got it.
.6 miles? I thought it was mandatory for testing reasons and such that the dealer or whomever has to put at least 4-5 miles on the car before selling. I've never heard of someone getting an evo with less than 4-5 miles on it.
i bought my '03 evo in 3/05. it was one of two '03 EVO's left over that never got sold out of a fleet of 14 evo's ordered at a small tulsa, OK mitsu dealer. one of them had kumhos on it, and 300+ miles on it. and it looked like it had been ragged on.
mine had 68 miles on it. proper advans, interior untouched. i was still concerned but its got 27,000 faultless miles thus far with a fair amount of mods. not one problem, stock clutch and drivetrain.
