as soon as i took my wing off, kids stopped trying to race me.. cops didn't take a second look at my car, and my gas mileage went up.

am i thinking about putting it back on? yea... but i think the car looks just fine with it off and is more low key

+1... I have an RS, and I had the chance to trade someone trunklids, but I chose not to, and I believe that was a wise choice. It's fun surprising people with the car's performance and cops never look twice at me since the car just looks like a boring sedan.

i'm wingless right now and totally flying under the radar. Still I'll probably put it back on pretty soon.

so my ix rs is dickless thats intelligent

anyway go wingless till you can get it fixed if you like the wing better, in the mean time i have seen some sweet vinyl circular patches some one found on a recent thread

by the way cops pay way less attention to you when your wingless

i rotate back in forth between wingless and winged. when i have it one way i miss the other. i used electrical tape cut in circles to cover the holes. looked as good as black circles on ur car can look.

by the way this forum is going downhill fast. with all the hatred and immature posts.

Ugh. everybodys gotta do something to stand out. IMO it looks horrible w/o the wing. Only b/c of the high pillars and roof line. I wish Mitsu. came out with a "not so huge" version of the wing, maybe 2-3 inches lower than the stocker.

The Evo without the wing looks like an IS300.

It's funny when you put the wing back on; and notice that you have new Bad Habits of making tiny steering wheel adjustments while driving straight on the highway.. it's not necessary anymore but you still do it for a day or so

With the wing on you can drive with one finger... theirs definently an unacceptable performance decline without the wing that you feel INSTANTLY the minute you take the darn thing off..
But, i drive the speed limit now and don't care

kite string works a 100X better to remove the double-sided tape then fishing line and floss..

I say go wingless until you get the wing fixed. what I did was bought a sheet of vinyl from a sticker place you wouldnt need too much. I got a hobby knife and cut out dime sized circles. you can barely notice them from far away. They make a water tight seal. I think it would look better wingless than with a faded wing my .2c though.

When I remove the wing there is some adhesive that I have to remove, right? Do you guys put adhesive back on when putting the wing back on? I guess I will see for myself when I remove the wing if and where it's needed.
