It seems that you're set on getting a new car, and you're holding strong on the G35 . I, too, would suggest removing the wing, but it seems your mind is already made. Good luck with your sale.

I've considered making a move with my Evo, but it ultimately came down to me being unable to let go of all the time and work I've put into mine. It would really **** me off to see some punk driving around and enjoying my hard earned money and dreams.

If you've done the research, can you post up the numbers on what it would cost to TT it with all the supporting mods? I'm just curious. The G is an amazing car, but don't sell yourself short if there is something else out there that would be cheaper to mod, but still quick as hell with sex appeal.

Actually I have done all my research on boosting the VQ I happen to have a pretty long thread going on G35driver.com. Ill copy and paste the portion where some of the guys told me how much it would be to get the car turbo'd tuned and running. I mean by no means but its not going to be ridiculous to run mild boost on a conservative boost on the G reliably.

Greddy TT kit with FMIC ~5500
UTEC with MAP sensor ~1000 (Might want to consider a Tuner to see AFR's with UTEC logs)

Etcs...

Bigger injectors ~less than 500
Return system ~around 1k (not 100% necessary but makes the tune more consistent)
Some sort of BC, like a TXS BCS works great ~100-500
Gauges ~your choice

Thats what it would run to get a Greddy TT up and running...And I waas quoted 7k for a Turbonetics Single Turbo to be installed and tuned with UTEC. Which easily makes 375-415rwhp

I know what you mean. I still have f*cking paint chipped from the carton of eggs that "fell" out of a 4 story window into the parking lot at a dorm. Thank God I graduated.

I had contemplated and feel ashamed of admitting of selling the evo. I just think it would be impossible for me to ever pull the trigger on that one though. Never had a car I was as passionate about.

3 mods in that car and your running mid low 12's easy!

Thats real funny because you say you have had this car for 3 years so you should have it i would be leave in the 18k range left that you owe on it... I may be wrong it has happend before. Now if you are like most people then you got a payment around $550ish if you didn't pay it off right away when you bought it.

If you really want to sell the evo make sure you get around 5k out of it. Then you can walk down to the BMW dealer and lease a 335i for 500 / mo for 48 months.

Just remember you gotta pay to play

BTW: last I checked 335i's are about a year out as I was planning to get one.

Thank God nothing like that has happened to me in the uni parking garage (knocks on wood!), because I would go ape**** if it did. People here seem to either respect the Evo or give it no attention whatsoever, both of which are fine in my book.

Have you considered the 07 STi LTD? It certainly looks boring enough.

That's not terrible, but I personally would have a hard time justifying that kind of money, plus the price of the car, just to get the performance numbers similar to what you're running now. The G is an excellent car and I would buy it if I was generally satisfied with the out-of-the-box performance. In this case, it seems like a lot of work just to get to were your Evo is now. I do wish you luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy your G. You're definately moving up on the comfort and luxoury scale...being that the Evo wasn't built with any of that in mind.
