Selling the EVO :(
Alright well...the time has come to sell the Evo
I've decided I'm going to purchase a more reliable classy(ya im lame
) daily driver that I can drive around at college and not get bull**** every single day from ricers/haters/douche bags etc or have to deal with another stupid mechanical problem
Anyone on here who drives an Evo at a HUGE UNIVERSITY knows how many haters there are out there that will either key your car, spit on it, try and run you off the road, throw **** at it, etc! Its just getting ridiculous and that combined with the occasional lack of reliability and my want for classier car has gotten me turned on to buying a 2005 6MT G35 coupe.
Yes yes I know...i'm leaving behind my 11 second stellar handling Evo for a much less performance oriented car but trust me I wont be keeping the G stock!
I have plans of bolting on a TT kit and installing some Tein coilovers so maybe I'll be able to cope with the G's performance after that goes on
So Id love to hear some opinions on my decision? I know most of you are going to tell me to stick with the evo or buy an evo 9 but I really want a classier more luxurious car thats alot more low key for a daily driver and I think the G35 accomplishes that because its still quick(sorta lol) and is a gorgeous car IMO and classy.
Heres some pics of my baby

Everyone has their reasons man, just have fun with the G35 and don't let the hate ruin your life haha. It's much more chill at my school since it's a bunch of car guys, you just have to deal with muscle vs off-roaders vs anything import.
I guess you're into the Japanese import or else you would have thought of getting the BMW 335.
It's a nice car you're getting rid of and sucks that you have to go through those bull crap at your school.
G35 are nice cars, so good luck!

I want you to find the nearest rope. Make a knot of it and hang it on your shower...then...jk
I understand replacing your Evo, but for a G35, you'll be greatly disappointed. You will spend literally three times the money to make it go as fast as you are now...you need bigger rims and wheels ($$$$) for better traction/looks, a FI ($$$$) for actual power rather than the full boltons that will give you as much power as a sticker on the Evo.
***** magnet factor is the only plus I see. G35s are VERY common here in Florida. You live here and you know how money rolls and people here own millions of those and 350z...perhaps a 335i chipped would be a better deal. That I can let you do. But not a G35. Maybe the Nizmo 350Z or the new G37 (it ran a 14.1 1/4 mile in motortrend!! wow, thats all I can say. All show no go.).
I go to FIU. I certainly know what you mean, but I havent had any problems so far, I guess it most be the univ. but here everyone minds their own business. This is my Junior year and havent had any problems nor heard of any. I do know about ricers doing stupid crap around you on the road though...the moment you get out of campus, you'll have one tailgaiting your ***.
Note: I live in Ft. Lauderdale, so I have to drive 70 miles everyday back & forth to FIU plus 10 more to work. I get my fair share of encounters. Nothing to the extreme other than some idiot in an SRT-4 that decided to give me a ricer fly by as he switched out of my lane at the last moment gazing my bumper on purpose. That's about it. And that was a year ago. The rest is all good. Today I had fun with an SRT-8 charger & a 335i at the same time going up I-75. Charger still had the temporary tags...funny how you think you're the king of the world the mo ment you get a new car then 2 years later you're tired of it and are thinking of replacing it.
I say, go test drive one, or a bunch of your options, then get back on your Evo and wait 2 weeks or so...on every event, think of "What if I had the ____"...like say...if it starts pouring rain, think "What if I had the FI G35 right now? I would probably be dong 20mph on the emergency lane to prevent my tires from overspinning and making me lose control" ...or maybe something good like "I will be able to spend more time with my girl because I dont have money left after the TT and the other million supporting mods that I spend money on to go out dinning, bowling, bar hopping, etc."
But hey, whatever floats your boat, to each their own.
P.S. If there isnt any rope you can always use the bed blankets!

The G35 is a solid car for an every day driver. Keep in mind, the more you mod it, the more it will become what you are seemingly wanting to avoid--an attention getter. Good luck.

that g35 is going to be really reliable with a tt.
