race gas question
if you run straight or almost straight racegas and especially more than 105-108 octane the car probably will run slower... mine did!
now if you tune on a specific racegas then the car will be faster...
If you use a racegas mix just to bring the octane level 2-3 numbers more then you run run a bit more boost and make more power...

Race gas
I saw this in person...
A co-worker had a SRT4 with a 2.6 stroker motor and 60-1 turbo. At 22 psi on 91pump gas (partially tuned, running low timing) he made 442 whp. After adding 100 octane, no more boost and no adjustments to the tune, he made 484 whp. But it does burn slowly and it is definately best to have a map that you can swap into your ECU for race gas due to the fact that it does burn slower.

half the people i ask tell me that i will gain power from putting in race gas, and turning up the boost. Then the other half tell me i will lose power because i am not tuned for it.what is the real answer?i have a fully built block with a white rabbit tme turbo but im tuned for pump gas...can i run 27 28 pounds on race gas safely?or am i losing power?thanks.....
you might as well just get dedicated pump octane and race gas maps since it's so easy to flash between the two. i never did trust putting a few gallons of race gas in and turning up the boost. you'll either be leaving HP on the table or running lean.
