Race gas burns slower. You need to ingnite the mixture earlier and run more boost to maximize the potential gains from race gas. It also depends on your tune, if you are knocking now and pulling timing then add race gas you will gain power due to not pulling timing anymore

Mix a few gallons of 100 octane in your tank and turn the boost up you should be fine. If you have flashing capabilities PM me

I doubt half say you won't gain power with race gas and more boost. That's commonly known to be an easy way to increase power quite a bit. Tons of people do it without any sort of retune.

ya i see you point, but belive or not i asked a few of shops and they told me i will lose power due to the car pulling timming or knock.and i have more then a few stories of people going to the track and running a worse time with ras gas then pump.....and my friends car runs really rich when he runs ras gas. obviously he has a wide band...i could be wrong though......

I consistanly trap 3 mph faster and .3 quicker on 100 octane @ 25.5 psi spike than pump. I also dyno'd 40 horse more but that was corrected.

ive never seen worse times on 93 than race gas. obviously having a good tune or map handy for when you pump in that high octane fuel will get you the most safest power.

Just get tuned for it, that's what I did. DEFINITELY a lot faster, my car has intake, ebc, tbe, fp, and I run 28psi on the race gas tune. Pump is a lot lower.

they told you to retune becuse you can run moretiming with race gas,my car went from 494whp @22psi to 550whp @22psi just from switching maps.vp c16 will let you run more timing and boost.

You can have as many maps as you want, you just can't switch them on the fly. You'll have to have them on your computer and use your computer to switch them.
