Lotus Elise and Exige use Toyota engines.

 

Also wanted to add, My friend has a boosted s2k that has been retuned by numerous tuners and his car still runs like a turd. It never had anyproblems before until he boosted it so take this in to consideration.

Coming from a guy that used to have an s2000 id say get an evo. Theres always pros and cons for everything but to me evo is a better car to have. If you want some more info feel free to pm me because most likely i wont be back in this thread.

 

The Toyota Celica engine is the same that's in the Lotus Elise.

I wouldn't feel sorry. That car hauls ***, especially the supercharged model.

 

On the flip side, the S2k does have a smoother engine, tranny shifts much better, and also handles better (on long corners at least). Also, it won't generate as much hate/attention from people and cops.

well, you do not have winter there So i wont say All season fun! Are you willing to go fast? keep it stock? dealer voids the warranty because most of the time they have mods on their cars.

s2000 is a fun car to drive but i prefer more room and 4 door.

Go and drive both cars see how you like it. Good luck with your purchase.

You live in LA, get the s2000. Chicks dig 'em way more than Evos. I love drop tops.
