im in the market for a new clutch and need some opinions on as to what clutch would best suit my needs...im not taking the car over the 425 hp mark and do not wish to spend alot of money on a clutch that would not do me any good because im not going to hit high hp #'s....so any info would be greatly appreciated...oh and im not looking for a mustang type clutch lol something thats very close to stock if thats possible..thanks in advance...

I'm running the ACT HDSS and previously had the Exedy twin disc.

No contest for daily driver duty - ACT. Very close to stock but much more durable. WAY cheaper than the Exedy twin.

Does anyone have experience with the RRE's "no name" clutch? While my clutch is still fine, It's something I would like to consider if my tranny ever has to come off.

Thanks

ACT HDSS! Hit up Chris@NoLimitMotorsports, I think i paid $470 for mine. Got about 1,000mi on it and I'm VERY pleased. Almost stock feel and can easily handle 425whp. The Exedy Twin is great too but costs about 3x more, while for your power goals the ACT can get it done much cheaper. Swap in a ss clutch line and make sure to adjust your clutch pedal also.

Yep just got an ACT with the extreme pressure plate and it seems to be very close to stock... just a little bit noisy but other than that it is great, cant go wrong with this clutch

Good thread. I've got 55k on my stock clutch - figuring I'll have to replace it sooner rather then later.

Any ideas how long say an E-HD will last? Is it comparable in terms of life to stock?

Does the ACT HDSS have high rpm lockout? Im shifting at 7500-8000.
