Wet sanded 3 strokes too much!!! doh!

my paint is a tad screwed up on my door now!! today, my paintless dent repair guy was working a bad dent out of my door...parking log ding...grrr...anyway...so, he got the dent out...near perfect....and he was working on getting the scratch out...he had it almost perfectly smooth...then...all of a sudden...while finalizing the wet sand....the paint in a couple small spots started to go down to white...so he immediately stopped...he said he pushed it about 3 strokes too far...i guess the clear coat and paint is more shallow than we both thought...

anyway...there is the two or three small glitches in my paint now...its smooth, but looks like these milky white spots underneath...which in acutality, i guess is actually where the paint has been removed...or at least down to prime...bah...

so he said he'd pay to get it repainted...but i don't want to make him go thru that if he don't have to...cause i don't want him to come out of pocket too too much for something so slight...and he WAS just trying to make it perfect for me...so do you think there's a way to fix that other than a repaint?...if it has to be repainted, does that mean the whole door?...or could a guy fade it?

basically looking for ideas on other ways to fix other than a repaint...i tried turtlewax color cure...no luck

it was his fault not yours....if he's gonna paint it....and you want your new car painted, go ahead....if you can live with it...live with it.

nah i wasnt cheering him on...he was just trying to get it as close to perfect as he could...he just pushed it a tad much...i mean...its literally 3 strokes bad...bah...so close...he has it perfect other than the wet sand incident...i told him i'd split the cost of paint if we had to do that...i mean...**** happens...and after i told him that, he said "free dent repair forever"...so...that works out...i guess it helps to be nice to your dent repair guy...hehe...this dude is no slouch either...he's the best pdr guy i've ever seen...thats why i'm so surprised this happened...he said he just pushed it too far for what the paint is...like him, i thought the paint was thicker...oh well...i was just wondering if you guys might have known about some good concealer wax...cause seriously...its that light...a good black wax would prolly fix it...i tried the turtlewax color cure black, but it didnt work...i was thinking there may be way better concealer waxes out...

edit: i'll most likely just split the charge with him...no biggie...i'd
rather pay 175 or so and get free dent repair in the future...and he's a friend...so...i know it was just an accident...**** happens

I say split it, you never know when you will need a favor. Good Karma.

Spliting the charge seems like the best way to go. You'll make a friend. I made friends with my mechanic in a similar way and he has helped me out when I've really needed it but was short on cash. Now I feel I owe him big time.
