Forge MBC

Hi to all
I just had installed Forge MBC in my EVO IX, the installed spring is the soft one but even if I turn the boos to maximum still the boost goes no more than 17 psi on my AEM boost gauge.
Do you think that I have to put the heavy spring to have more boost?
Thanks

Did you make sure you installed it correctly? I vote to double check the vacuum lines first. I helped a friend install the same MBC on his 9 and his soft spring is boosting 25 psi (not maxed).

Soft spring should hold more than that. Double check everything. I put the hard spring in my Forge MBC (when I had it) and it hit 28psi on the lowest setting.

When I installed my forge mbc, the soft spring hit 21 PSI and that wasn't even turn all the way up... I believe the soft spring is the one that comes already inserted inside the mbc...or I could be wrong...

With my stiff spring the lowest I can boost is 23 lbs. I dont have a problem boosting about 31 lbs. with about 14-16 clicks open.

I'm using the soft spring and have run up to 22psi, and still haven't had the MBC fully adjusted. I would check your lines and, if those are fine, check that the spring is properly seated in the boost controller.

One thing that no one has mentioned is that there is two sets of springs that come with the forge. On the earlier set, you need to run the hard spring to get 22lbs. On the later (newer) set, you can achieve 22lbs with the soft spring.

Is it new or used?

Yes. I am boosting 25psi on the soft spring. (not maxed)

The hard spring at the lowest setting spiked over 25psi.
