hard intake pipe with stock airbox

anyone tried using the rmr hard induction pipe, or any hard intake pipe with the stock airbox? (basically RMR & Ralliart) i am planning to use one with my stock airbox only because i BELIEVE my stock rubber intake pipe is collapsing on me everytime it hits full boost (23psi). had LSE performance do a leakdown and boost leak test, everything was good. still have that major boost taper so i am thinking this is the problem. going to try it anyways, but just want your word on it. i've tried looking on here for someone who has tried it, but no luck.

I ran the Cusco hard pipe with the stock airbox. It fit with no problems. Also the Samco induction pipe works, too.

I have both available if you're interested, just pm.

Don't waste your money, your making some big leaps from a shop telling you you don't have a boost leak to you thinking your intake pipe is collapsing. Unless you've personally watched your intake pipe collapse(like on a dyno) I'd bet the house its fine.

Instead you should be asking about your boost taper problem...

I highly doubt you're collapsing the stock pipe. I ran mine on the Green and high boost with no problems.

I would look into switching out the stock air box. I noticed an increase of boost at redline once I finally switched mine out.

thanks guys, but i've already ordered the rmr pipe. after i ordered it, i took the car out for a spin and to a surprise, taper isn't as bad anymore. spikes and falls a couple psi according to my gauge. i usually had it spike and fall 6-7 psi. have no idea why.
