Attn evom: ForgivenEvo poss SCAMMER
whats up guys, i hate to say it but after years of nothing but positive experiences, including buying and selling on evom, i believe i was finally scammed. ForgivenEvo had a ported and ceramic coated mani for sale, perfect since i just ordered ported o2, turbo housing, and LICP from wayne at PPI. he said 175 shipped and i sent a postal money order within a few days.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ghlight=ported
shortly after he PM me saying he received the money order and that he would try to ship the manifold the next day, but may not be able to because of going out of town. he didnt ship it next day, but PM me a few days later saying he brough it out of town with him and shipped it via UPS. he provided a tracking number and i thought everything was good.
i got suspicious when after two days, my tracking number still stated "billing information received." i called ups to inquire and they stated that this tracking number was done online electronically by providing UPS the size and weight of the package. you then pay for the shipping online and they provide a shipping label to print out. you have to apply the shipping label and drop the package off at UPS, which was not done, because as of this second, it still says "billing information received."
if this guy was scamming, i dont see why he would waste his time and money by even obtaining and providing me with a tracking number. i have PMed him about 5 times and i see he has not logged on since the 15th. i hope there was some miscommunication about him getting the tracking number but the words "i was able to ship the manifold here is the tracking number" are not easily misunderstood, at least not in my opinion. hopefully he will contact me and rectify this situation or i am out 175. while this is hopefully getting resolved, i would not encourage any evom members to buy anything from him, should he sell. i would hope he could at least update me. if hes running behind thats fine, but i want to know that im getting my item. he has internet access while he is "out of town" because he PM me saying he "shipped" it after he was already out of town.

it sounds kinda iffy...i think he coulda got confused about somethin in the process even though its really simple to do...it could also be a scam because sending money through the mail isnt smart because there is no way to protect ur investment
When did the tracking# say that the item was sent out?I know sometimes when I shipped stuff, I will use usps.com and print the postage out and drop the item off at a post office or dropbox. It could be that the post office has not yet checked their drop box?Than again who knows.Maybe try checking with the local post office in their area where the item was supposed to be shipped out of if you have not already done so.I would avoid sending money orders or a personal check next time.If someone is ever selling something and states that they only accept MO's or PC's than I would stay away from a purchase like that.Good luck though!

it wasnt shipped. it says shipped/billed on 09/13. but it never says it was scanned in or out or anything. so it was billed on 09/13 meaning he paid for shipping and got a label, but didnt ship it.
Here is the conversation I had with him from about 6 months ago over a set of myd flaps I was selling. The conversation starts at the bottom and ends at the top.

I was wondering if you bought the mud flaps directly from rally armor or from a vendor. If you bought it from Rally Armor, maybe you can help me get just one mud flap.
Let me know
Thanks

I thought you said FedEx was the best to use?
FedEx asked me if I required a signature, and I told them no since you had stated that you live in a rural area and the possibility of you being home might be remote. I waved the "signature required" and told them the value was less than $100, at which time they said that insurance wasn't needed then, because of their default policy. The package was in excelent shape when I sent it, otherwise FedEx would have probably told me to repack it or something.
FedEx should be eating this as far as I can see, unless there was damage caused after they were dropped off, which will probably be impossible to prove.

Especially since my area is sort of rural and mainly a winter tourist area.
Also, the package was not left at my front door, it was just dropped at my fenced gate and supposedly one of my roomates was home that whole time and the delivery guy never rang the doorbell or anything.
The worst part of it is that the box was destroyed. Its really crazy, I don't even understand why its like that. I am out of town also, so my roomate is trying to contact FedEX to take care of this.
Honestly, I have had trouble with fedex before. One time I ordered some floorstanding speakers and the delivery guy tried to leave me with DirecTV Set top boxes with a different address and name on it.
Do you have any idea if I can get two mud flaps replaced?
I'll try to send you pics tonight.
LEt me know
Thanks

I don't understand why FedEX would give it to me like that. Anyways, did you have insurance on it and was a signature required for the delivery of the package?
There was no one home to sign off on the package, so hopefully a signature was required.
I'll send you pics if you want to see it.

Also make sure you ship by FedEX ground. Sometimes FedEX ships to my area, but gives it to USPS to do the local delivery once they get up here and then the package gets lost.

That's how I always send stuff. In fact, that's how they came to me when I bought them back in the day. Anyway, They're sitting in a Priority Mail box right now ready to go. I'll ship them out first thing on Monday and PM you the Delivery Confirmation number.
I just need your mailing address and the money, of course.

I prefer FedEX because they have shipped to me before.
Let me know what shipping method you plan on shipping by.
Thanks

I have been out of town for a week and was not able to access the internet. I wasn't able to respond to any PM's. Sorry for that.
Anyways, I have the packaging slip and receipt. I shipped the item by UPS at a UPS Store. Honestly, it is not my intention to do any sort of scamming. If you look at the tracking number, it even says the weight of the package. I will contact the actual UPS store I shipped it by and give you an update.
Sorry for any confusion, I did not expect any problems after I shipped the manifold out.

I think his location has a lot to do with why things are delayed (shipments, communications, etc.). It seems he lives out in the middle of nowhere (no offense) and the people who handle packages in his area seem to be pretty dim. His trader feedback seems to all be positive on both the buying and selling side, so I wouldn't be too concerned there. Also, he spends a lot of time out of town.

well it says the weight of the package and it says billing info received, but it never gives a status as to where the thing is. delay is not forgiven evos fault, but youre to tell me this package has been sitting in the UPS store for almost two weeks? we have to track it down. thanks for responding and hopefully between the two of us, we can resolve this and i can get my manifold.
