Yeah, I took my Evo there ten days ago after I had a minor collision with a curb. They replaced a bent wheel, inspected the suspension for damage (there was none), rotated the tires (they were due anyway), performed a four-wheel alignment, and the service advisor didn't even bat an eye when I specially requested that they set the front camber to 2 degrees negative.

Also, I hope everybody realizes that the stock factory settings are not necessarily the best for everyone. In particular, if you corner hard, you may want maximum negative camber up front, which improves turning grip. Also, the factory settings call for 3mm toe-in at the rear -- this makes the car much harder to oversteer (safer for your average driver), but at the expense of accelerated tire wear.

If they are doing an alignment check they don't adjust anything. Just hook it up to the rack and get the measurements. How could they screw it up?

Is that so? I think I'll give them a try soon. When they do an alignment, is there a chance that they can scratch your wheels?

If you stand there next to the tech with a shotgun, then you can guarantee they won't try to pull your dick. But for me, I won't even trust some Mitsu techs (hell, I don't trust half the BMW techs) not to try to rip you a new one. Maybe, I'm just not easily trustworthy.

So what are the factory settings for a perfect allignment(please list all specs). I want to know so when I go to take my car in to the shop I know what I'm talking about and looking at when I see the printout. Also is it recommended to get all four wheels balanced while I'm there?

Per another post, theses are the factory specs (I think)..

Front:
Toe-in mm (in.): 0 +/- 2 ( 0 +/- 0.08)
Camber (Selectable from 2 options): -1deg +/- 30' or -2deg +/- 30' (left/right deviation within 30')
Caster: 3deg55' +/- 30' (left/right devitation within 30')

Rear:
Toe-in mm (in.): 3 +/- 2 (0.12 +/- 0.07)
Camber: -1deg +/- 30' (difference between right and left within 30')

As for the "perfect" settings, I would assume that would depend on where you were driving...like autox, etc

Can anyone second those specs? Just to be sure. I'm interested to know too...
