my front lip ripped off on the highway, rock chips in hood, bumper, and windsheild. carbon fiber wing is fading from the sun. driver side weather stripping also ripped off on the highway and one of the climate controls broke off!. the check engine light wont go off no matter what i do to fix it. my evo also has 103,500 miles on the engine. in some spots the clear coating is comming off. oh yeah to top it off, i was rear ended last week by a s.u.v. waiting at a red light to turn left and she smashed in the passenger side rear and bending my APEXi turbo back into the drive tran. messed it up real bad!. its getting fixed by my insurance, but itll never bo the same. most of the damage i had nothing to do with, just manufacture defect and everyday wear and tear as a daily driver.

 

Cracked windshield from a stone on the highway and just yesterday a chunk of metal kicked up on the highway hit the driver side front and rear doors taking paint and leaving three nasty gashes. And to think I always park far away from people to prevent this and now I have to get the doors repainted! My Evo is seems to be a magnet for high speed debri.

^^ ...and i ahve a big from everyone, LIP bolt came off on one end durin tranny install so that dangles a bit, passengor door has scratch from when i was installin speaker, the door swung out hittin my dads car side mirror...trunk is bent form then the spoiler was removed ...scratches on all 4 rims from previous owner, dp rattle on cross bars , bumper and hood chipped from rocks, wire in bumper is swinging back n forth because part where bolt goes in is broke, needs new paint job, tired of havin to haul tool box in car, hoses always poppin off, had to get new headers........and i have years more of payments yipee....never sign that dotted line ladies n gentlemen

 

Well lets see, first the paint is terrible, my whole front end has stone chips everywhere, I had to fight like mad to get Mitsibushi to replace my faded wing ( 2 months out of warranty ) but in the end they did replace it....I have pink calipers on all 4 corners, these they would not replace..... My throw out bearing sounds as if its gonna jump out of the car, been like that since 27,000 miles now at 53,000 miles, clutch still works and its the original. The sunroof stopped working too, and I haven't had the time to fix it. Luckily I was able to get it closed...... I also have the tabs bent underneath the car from jacking her up.
This is the longest I have ever owned a car, ( my 95 GSX I had for 3 years, fully modded ) Its been Autocrossed, Tracked and once to Englishtown dragstrip, 3x 13.6's, with just an exhaust, and to this day it still puts a smile on my face.
Love the damn thing, its an awsome car, but I know its not for everyone.

 

chips in the front bumper and a few on the hood, rims have been scuffed a little from curbs, catback taps driveshaft on right turns (very annoying), the paint on the brembo's faded, clear coat on c/f part of wing was faded but was replaced under warrenty.

 

rock chips on hood and bumper, belt rubbing, curb rash on all 4 wheels, a "clunk" noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd, and wheel alignment off. I bought the car with these problems and there were much more that has already been fixed.

 

Rock chips, Pitted windshield, and more rock chips. Mitsu has the worst paint quality I have ever seen.

 

Paint sucks it sucks it sucks it sucks!! I've used the best products on this TB paint and it still doesn't look as good as my wife's Saturn with just a wash 1 coat of Pinnacle. The paint is truly the worst I have ever seen on any car EVER.

Rock chips, 1 scratch under the rear bumper, and it needs another 300whp.
