I have an 06 with 28K miles on it. When can I expect my clip to suck? It seems to be working perfectly right now.

This is the bane of the car for me, not only is it annoying but its a lot of fun when it bunches up and holds your gas pedal down...

I'm having the same problem, got a heel hole worn in mine and the clip moves all over the place. Wish there was a cheaper solution than a $75 piece of metal.

I also thought I was the only one. I despise that little clip. I managed to make it stay in place with nothing but luck.

^^^why not use some initiative and go out and purchase from autzone cheap set of pads with the heel protector. Cut out the heel protector and gorilla glue it to your factory floor mat, that's what I did well over 2 years ago...works like a charm

I tried something similar a few times. I live in Western New York and during the summer the interior temperature of the car melted the glue and the clip still didn't stay in place. I've had this problem with a few things, in fact, while trying to do similar quick fixes...

The interesting thing is that I live in NY and had this problem... you live in FL and haven't, lol. Maybe they sell glue that is better resistant to heat in Florida just because it is generally hotter there?

Still doesn't stand up to heat, I've tried almost every glue.

i don't think glue is gonna work, best thing is drill a hole in carper and mat and put zip tie thru it! mine is still on but it's pulling the carpet ltself out, annoying.
