recall from 2004
recall from 2004
I got a letter in the mail saying my car has not been checked for this defect... I believe it's the "cooling fan controller."
My car was in an accident back in december, got front end damage... so hood, bumper, fender and a new intercooler cause it got a nice ding on it... also got a new radiator *just because* I guess haha (all insured obviously)
So my question is, will mitsubishi still repair the issue even though the general area near the fans was hit? (Obviously it doesn't have to be the controller itself that got hit to void any kinds of repairs) I suppose I could call mitsubishi and ask lol but I don't exactly want to tell them my cars been in an accident just incase by some stroke of god it wasn't marked down on the vehicles history or something (I know it will be on the registry's history.. I'm just talking about the dealers), I have no clue how car dealerships work and I never want to know
thanks guys

well no.. nothing but the intercooler, radiator, bumper, hood and fender was replaced. If I were to guess, the cooling fan controller isn't any where close to the front. What I'm saying is maybe by some chance in retarded dealership land they might take my accident into consideration and say "hey you messed it up, we can't help you anymore" know what I mean?
Basically they claim your fan won't turn on causing your engine to over heat only if your vehicle was one the the few that had this defect.. it's not all of them.
Doesn't give me an exact year but I KNOW it has nothing to do with 2005 and up..
"This notice is a follow-up to a prior recall notification sent in september of 2004, our records show that your vehicle has not been repaired for this defect."
