removing front crash bar.
Well I had my front bumper off today and I decided to take off my crash bar.
I was wondering if anyone else here has done this and have they had any problems?
I haven't put my bumper back on but I noticed that a few of the mounting holes that the bumper attaches to is on that crash beam. is there a mount of some kind that someone has made? Or will the bumper be ok without it?
I would like to keep it out. I like shedding weight wherever I can. My evo's a pig.
thanks guys

front crash bar is easy to take out, but taking the front bumper can be time consuming. Especially taking out the screws for the undertray. If you want to waste time taking bumper off for something that can be denied by your insurance, that doesn't make sense. The evo already has a bad crash rating, why make it worse?

no I had to replace my headlight. so I figured while I was right there why not shave some weight?
Has anyone made a bracket or something to hold the middle of the bumper up?

Actually, I've been trying to find the Evo crash rating data for a while. Do you have any links? Thanks!

Im kinda wondering too because i removed by crash beam after my fmic install. The bumper seems unstable after losing some bolt connections to the beam. Air coming from the front of the bumper shouldn't have any effect, but if you were going in reverse really fast, the bumper could come off.......................................just a thought.
