im going to give my view on the front beam support, first thing i never though i would get in an accident especially with the evo but anyway here it is. driving about 30 - 40 going north other driver driving south he decides to make a left in front of me 10 feet to stop i guess we hit at approx 5- 10 miles an hr, damages front bumper keep in mind i had an upgraded fmic fmic damaged front fan radiator went threw wastgate condensor in between radiators if support wasnt there it would probably be worst i personally dont see any gains of taking out inside fan damaged upper intercooler pipe damaged, keep in mind i think because of the upgraded fmic since it is wider its possible that there was more room for damaged, but honestly u can make up the horsepower to move the car faster than saving weight on that item. i drive mind daily especially in alot of traffic like ny u never know anyway my 2 cents.

I say why bother removing the crash beam. The risk is greater than the reward in my opinion.

FYI, if u were to get into an accident that was not your fault and the officer finds out your missing those safety features, you can get in a mess of trouble. A friend of mine got in trouble cause he had bald tires when he got into an accident.

you may want to watch this video before you decide to take off your crash bar. As you can see, it does quite a bit to even out the impact across the vehicle instead of just on the one side.

If you are going to remove your crash beam you might want to replace it with the CUSCO FRONT POWER BAR.It is lighter and gives you some protection in case of accident.

Doesnt the front crash support give the car some structural stabilty, same goes for the rear one as well when people put the JDM rear on it they have to have this modified as well. Removing it for the JDM rear is understandable, also someone on here has a thread how they had a custom crash beam replacement modified that was a really nice piece. but removing the front one I dont understand there are plenty of prts that can be removed to save weight why #$%k with one that protects you?
