2008 Buschur Racing Sport Compact Shootout
Is there a registry going up, or is it basically going to be decided by lanes equal what bracket/division your going to be running in? Just wondering since I'll probably be going into B1 or B2, being nearly stock I really wouldn't want to line head's up with OKIX, that probably wouldn't be pretty..
I haven't been to Norwalk raceway in probably 5+ years and now that it's Summit, has anything really changed besides more seating, and probably a bigger parking lot, and pit area?
Oh, and also do you know if Summit allows someone sitting shot gun as long as they have a helmet on, or is it driver only.. Seeing my wife was thinking about going, but she doesn't want to sit in the stands by herself for hours or be in the pits by herself.. If they don't allow a rider oh well.. more weight reduction for me out comes the seat!

Nothing has changed in the pits at NRP. They will assign and call you to a lane.
Also not sure if they will allow a passenger or not, during time trials they do but not during racing as far as I know.

I'll be there! I think the street class should be a DOT 140+ rating tire just like the DSM shootout. Anyone with quick time pros wouldn't drive on them on the street for long periods. Just my .02
Not to mention most people do not run a full out slick on DSM's and Evo's. And if they are they are going to be running in the quick 16.

There's always two sides to every story, but hence the term "cheater slicks", these are doing exactly what they were meant to do, let people drive around on slicks and still have a DOT approved tire... if i had a set I might throw them on for a weekend just for fun out on the street!
Of course, just because they are a legal street tire does not mean you wouldn't get pulled over anyways and have to explain to the cops the nice big "HOOSIER" white letters
"no officer, just going up to the store tonight"

I wasn't saying anything directly related to you guys! I love your car and it is my inspiration to get mine done the way I want it to be. I'm not quite sure what your comment ment.
I just think it is pointless to have an AWD class at this event for slick tires and street tires. The fast AWD cars (including yourself if you wanted to) will most likely compete in the Q16. There will not be that many cars running in the slick AWD class to make it a fun competition IMO.
This is just my opinion. I am way excited about this event and can't wait to see everyone and their cars. Hopefully it is not way cold like the DSM shootout last year.
