Evo go hit..... not huge but.. need advice

This lady was tailing me the whole way from work to my cousins apartments, pulled in the apartments and then made a right turn.... bam! hit the rear, its not bad at all its a few scratches but she's blaming it on me.. I called the cops and I really don't want to have a accident report on the car because of two "scratches"... cops couldn't make a decision because it was on "private property".... so the insurance companies have to battle it out.... so I was just wondering if any of you have had a situation like this... Should i report it to my insurance company? because i don't want to have to pay for her damages if i don't report it... and also I don't want the rates to go up on my insurance... and instead of paying the 500 deductible, i can just get the bumper buffered out or a jdm rear bumper...

The lady made it a huge deal started cuzing at me and etc.. and all the cops see is a teenager with a fast car...

post pictures tonight when i get a chance.... took them with my camera phone...

Thanks

Sucks bro. This similar situation happened to my friend. He was t-boned by an old lady in a wal-mart parking lot. Long story short, his insurance had to pay for the damages to his car.

Your rates won't go up if it's her fault. Based on your description, she hit you in the rear end and there's no way it could be your fault unless you were in reverse. So, based on what you've told us, you should get your insurance company involved so they can investigate it.

actually it is okay to have it fixed as long as they don't replace the bumper cover. if it will be painted, at least look for the best paint shop that will match it well. I think as long as you have the VIN sticker in the bumper, it should be okay.

Your insurance likely won't go up over such a small claim and with no citation on your part. However, you will probably just want to get an estimate and have the damages repaired on your dime if her insurance won't pay for it.

Man... In GA if your hit in the rear its their fault. Just go to the libary and find the law than call her up. Meet up with her. Show her the law and make her pay outside of court. If you go through insurance it'll go to arbtration and i had someone back up into me in a parking lot (i was going straight and she was backing out of a spot) and hit me on the side and arbtration called it a no fault and each insurance had to pay for their own. Settle out of arbtration if you can.
