DONT DEAL WITH o6RSEvo (Mike is a SCAMMER)
It sucks that there are people out there like that. I am generaly very trusting of people, but it goes to show that there are a few bad seeds out there that will screw you over. I had a set of injectors from my MINI for sale on a MINI forum that I was on when I had the car. They were used for $200. Not too many interested, but one guy who said he would send me $100 Paypal for me to hold them for him & then the other $100 when he got it & then send them the parts. He sent the $100 Payment & I went ahead & sent the injectors since I didn't need them anyway. I forgot that I had not been paid the other $100 until 5 weeks later I got another Paypal payment for $100. Just goes to show that some people do the right thing even when they have not been contacted or reminded. The 5 week delay was fine since he never said how long till he could pay the rest, but he did pay it.
you got to love those the a$$hole that just screw u over like that. uk u do the dude a favor and u are being the nice guy and hooked him up with it even tho he didnt have the full money and he could pay u back. sry to hear bro. ull deff no next time not to even let a part go with out get the full money in ur hands!
yea that definetly sucks, i found that out years ago with something alot minor, after that time i knew whenever someone tells me they want to pay me this amount here and then another amount later im like NO, thanks for time later. moral to your ordeal is NEVER TRUST ANYONE that you dont know. a friend sure i might do something like that for a friend but thats it. definetly not for someone i dont know.
I guess I wouldnt be taking it that far. I dont have the time or the morals to do something like that. Just really sucks that someone (o6RSEvo aka Mike) would ruin his manhood and rep online for $175. Shows hes just a little immature thief which will one day be tought a nice lesson.
You just said two of the most important things. I know its cheesy, but think about it this way. Ever see Bronx Tale? C has a kid that owes him 20 bucks. C goes NUTs chasing this SOB down. Sonny says to C, after he chases him down the street "Consider that a 20 dollar cost, on finding out who you can or can't trust. Let it go, now he'll stay out of your life forever, over 20 bucks (paraphrased).
SO! Think about it THIS way.....you sell him the parts, you get all your money up front. You say "Huh, he's a GOOD guy"
"Let me call him to see if he wants to buy (X) For 1500 bucks"
He replies, says yes, and says "Hey, I'll give u what I've got now ($250)"
You think to yourself "Hes a stand up guy, so OK"
Then bam, instead of 175, he hits you for over 1200 bucks......
The ultimate point? People like this ALWAYS wind up crossing the wrong person. I had a friend who was involved in illegal activities a long time ago. He thought he was pulling one over on his "employers" by skimming off the top of his merchandise. They caught him and let him go with nary more than a slap on the wrist. So we thought.
Have no idea where he is to this day, and that was 7 years ago. (I mean he's probably dead, not in hiding)
Total worth of the theft? 450 bucks. They ALWAYS get whats coming to them.
I know it has happened to some people exactly this way. A guy checks to see who sells a lot of stuff, does some business with them to earn trust, then screws you in the end. This kid is OBVIOUSLY a dope, otherwise he would have played his games right.....
The benefit for you? You learned EARLY and relatively cheaply.
On the other hand.....Keeping an eye out for him, and knocking on his door when he least expects it is quite a surprising way.....
Best of luck.
