I just have one question. How do you install headers on a turbocharged car without removing the turbocharger? Perhaps you mean Turbo Manifold?

I have the gt spec headers on my evo 8 and i notice quicker spool and better top end. I did lose a little on tq but not much..Get a tune to get full performance out of it and you can install headers without taking the turbo out.

the header or exhaust manifold change will really not give you much hp increase. ams did a test with their tubular manifold on the stock turbo and found that it was more for looks than performance. some of buscher's turbo kits use the stock manifold and they make great power. the tune is where the power you are looking for is at. na cars is where you see the gain and not much on new cars to justify the cost. that's just my opinion and good luck. get the fp green and make great power on the stocker.

It all depends on what type of driving you do..the exhaust manifold is very useful if you're running past 80mph that's were flow comes into play less restriction more flow=more hp up top you won't see much at the bottom or if any depending on the ext. manifold you buy.

good luck with Mellon, u can do as many ecuflash as you want, you dont have to wait to equip more stuff in the evo so u can get a tune ..
do it now, unless the rest of the stuff u gonna get is very soon.
and Mellons tunes are priceless, especially after the US dollar has gone down, so it's good for us foreigners to pay less than the ordinary.

The US spec evos have their own Regulation to market them.
they did not market them before till the VIII because none of them is up to the US Laws of crash testings and such.
so they have more safety features which includes the addition of Rear and front Crash beams .. the Euro and JDM evos dont have any.
