Dashboard Noise
Hey guys,
I've found a few rattles here and there that might be driving everyone nuts. I know with Pat's EVO, he had a rattle coming from the factory gauge cluster and dash (bottom half against the dash) rattling at idle. There's also the rattle coming from the factory ECU harness that has a weird wire tie that hits a metal bracket under the dash on the passenger side, you can either wrap the tie in electrical tape or cut it off, we did the latter. Then there's the one from the heater and A/C vent that someone else posted about. The last one is the factory clock. Somehow, the little POS rattles, when I push down on the dash, it goes away (for those of you that smacked the dash and had it go away, it was probably it), but comes back every now and then. I think some guy on the Mitsu assembly line was pulling some kind of cruel prank when he put this stuff together, because we fix one, and another pops up.

My dash rattles every now and then but lately I have been getting this annoying rattle. Turns out to be the sunroof. Don't ask me how or why but when I push up against the glass the rattle stops....from that area anyways.
My dash has rattled since about a week after I drove it off the lot. It used to drive me nuts. I'd fix one and another would pop right up to take its place. Now I don't even notice. I think of it as just part of the Evo experience.
My eclipse windows rattled quite a bit. I got an evo cluster for my es and it is sqeeky. I have one that rattles near my glove box area. Next I have fix the rear dash and other stuff in my trunk.
Oh, I forgot to meation, my eclipse, when I had it, the sunroof rattled untill I replace the railing system. Worked great after that. I would check and see if the window is screwed down to the rails good.
I have the same exact noise, sounds like a clicking, seems to come from one of the vents near the bottom of the front windshield.
