35r should only be run with race gas or meth. its not to impressive on pump gas with a 2.0L.... laggy, and you can get similiar results with smaller turbos. but with the high boost its a serious kick in the pants!!!!

FYI i have the buschur 35r. i felt with the aquamist HFS-5 it would be just to much fun at 30psi...

for pump gas you'll want something that is more efficient at lower pressure ratios (i.e. less boost). there is a number of options, 3076, 50 trim, 3065, any of the trim options ETS offers....

from my observations, the 3076 kit AMS offers is very strong on pump. i've tune a couple of them and results are great. the turbo can hold boost better then a green can as well (even though they are sopposedly rated at the same flow rate). however for the price difference in buying a 3076 kit vs a green i'm not sure your going to get the "more" your seeking. 50 trim cars are also right in the same area as the 3076.

i have never got a chance to tune a 3065 yet so i can't say anything about that one. i can say it has less lag then the 35r though just off seeing dyno graphs of it. someone with a 3065 will need to comment on that one.

i daily drive my 35r. its nice because it is so laggy i stay out of the boost 95% of the time now and hopfully i'll see an improvement in gas mileage... when i need the power i just downshift and the boost is there. with the stock turbo just blipping the throttle and you are in the boost. two completely different turbos.

I agree. The 3065/3076 Is a good street turbo for a 2.0 or 2.3. The 35R is good but kinda laggy for the street.

Depending on how much your spending limits are but even then at Mynes Performance they sell any size turbo in the Garret GT series on your choice of bottom mount or top mount and in either a single scroll and twin scroll configuration. I hear good things about the 35R with a Top Mount never mind being able to get it in TS. Check out there site they got back to me very quick now im just waiting for some money Top Mount TS 35R for ME

Thats just my 2 cents

BR just finished a car with HTA35r on pump gas alone.

29psi and 530ish whp on mustang dyno.

Now we can start ditching the long believed idea that 35r=race gas turbo.

if you want a good turbo for DD try the 3071, or the 3076, and just get a race gas tune, those turbos are great for racegas, but aren't very laggy for DD neither. and you'll get a buttload of torque.

Thank you player

Get the 35r, that way you alway have room for improvement.

Search for my video on the BR35r, its not bad.... its good.

I dont DD my Evo but 23psi on pump is good enough.

That car has a fully built block, head work and a standalone. With all the head work done you can run more boost on pump gas,

His motor is still stock. You really can not compare the two.

I guess it depends if you want crazy top end from 5,000rpm on up... then the 35r is for you, if not you should go smaller.
