Has anyone had problems with them? I had a gen1 in my first Evo and it worked perfectly. Now with Evo #2 there was a gen 2 turbo timer already installed but every so often when I take the key out it just kills the ignition instead of keeping it live so the car can cool down?

What I have now shown below;


I plan on taking the steering column plastics apart to examine the install, but I wanted to get some oppinions on what it could be before hand or atleast see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Make sure the TT is in L1 mode set to 1:10 or whatever time you want. Be sure when you turn the car on it says "L1" and then the time. When you turn off the key, it should count down and flash back and forth between blue and red.

i installed mine myself.. works everytime i use it, which actually isn't very often. but i've never had a problem. i usually just sit and wait an extra minute unless i've been driving it hard then i'll use it.

 

Mine has done that also. No real reason why.

 

Get an Blitz turbo timer. Mine works all the time! Unless something is wrong with your installation or you don't have the correct harness
