FP Turbo Users: Gen 2 Intall Kit required?

I currently have a EVO 8 with a HTA Green going on it next month. I have gotten mixed reviews on whether I really need the $300+ Gen 2 install kit/Oil Line? What are you guys using? Worth it or do I just the need the Gen 1 kit?

I'd use the one FP recommends (and I did). They've done a lot of research and recommend it for a reason.

You need the gen 2 especially for the oil feed line. The gen 1 doesn't come with it because they use to recommend using the stock oil feed location. I'm really not sure how they get off charging that much more for some steel braided line and an inline filter (with fp engraved logo), but they do. I needed it, so I bought it and everything has been fine with the set up.

As much as it's a bit pricey, I would say better safe than sorry (especially if you intend to be pushing that black)
Kinda hard to put your $2k turbo at risk for not getting a $300 part...and I'm also sure there are warranty issues involved too if you don't.

I contacted FP about this also, I got the answer back it depends on how much boost you're running. Email them and get a PRO answer! Im using the gen 1 kit. They are pretty quick in replying to emails also.

emailed FP to see what they had to say. For some reason I have a funny feeling they are going to tell me I need the $350 gasket/oil line kit. I really don't care about the money its the fact its $350 for.....gaskets/filtered oil line. Oh well, I'll post the response just in case anyone else is curious when I hear back.

From FP: If your not going to be running more than 25 psi then the Gen 1 kit is fine if you will be running beyond that the Gen 2 kit is required.
