Stripped Head

Hey everyone, i have had several people tell me different things concerning this issue and would like to know the best possible way to fix a stripped head. One of the studs that hold up the exhaust manifold was a pain to get out, and took all the threads in the engine head with it. I have been driving the car one stud short... there is not major exhaust leak right now but i would really like to fix it this weekend since i am putting in headstuds and headgasket this weekend... the head is going to be off the car neway. What is the best way to fix this?

You should buy a heli-coil kit to repair those damaged threads. I have done more than one heli-coil kit on my Talon with no ill results.

Figure out what the thread size is and go buy the appropriate kit.

What you want to use is called a Time Sert (google it). It is much stronger then a heil coil. The kit are not cheap but they work excellent. I use them alot at my work.
