2006 Evo IX w/ Lifetime Powertrain Warrenty

so im just wondering how valuable is the powertrain warrenty to the 06 evo ix's? and if theyre selling a 9 w/ a lifetime powertrain warrenty, is that good? (this is just based on the 9 coming with a lifetime powertrain warrenty) thanks!

Not valuable...If you buy an evo for the warranty then your buying it for the wrong reasons.

+1. Ive never heard about a lifetime warranty on the Evos dealerships might try to sell you one, but most of the time they will try to BS out of it.

i dont mean valuable as in $. i mean as is it a good warrenty to have for the evo. the dealership i went to offers this lifetime powertrain warrenty that covers all the powertrain (only) components. so i would still have to pay for oil changes and what not, but if anything in the car breaks basically theyll cover it for free. so with that being... is the powertrain warrenty valuable to the evo?

Again......they will not fix it if you break it because they will blame you for it...type warranty in the search box.

its valuable if its respected by them...capice?

You buy from Mitsu, you get no warranty, period. Buy from a used car lot offering to do this, then there's a possibility...

I have a buddy that purchased a used evo with aftermarket warranty. I think he paid for $1000 for it.

He claimed his turbo failed and the warranty company covered the cost of an LT20G because it was cheaper than a factory turbo from Mitsu. They also paid for a TRE transfer case because it was cheaper than Mitsu.

Mitsu however wont fix a fricken thing.
