I have a 05 black evo 8 and i am wondering what i should do next. I am NOT going for power and i dont want rims until spring. I got about 2 gs to drop, wondering what i should go with...not clutch either

Recommendations please

Well for 2 grand you could get some nice suspension mods.Maybe some nice coilovers and some beefier sway bars would be a good upgrade.

i was debating about the coilovers, i want to put on w/e i get as soon as i get it so it would deffinetely be before the end of december, i would get the flex w/edfc, is that a wise choice since i live in chicago and it will be out in the winter

If you're driving it up there some good winter tires would be good.

 

I'm from northern IL also BTW, if I ever move back up there I'm taking the evo to AMS a few times.

 

i have good tires, and i dont drive it too often in the snow, about once a week. I would go to AMS but for power, im lookin for somethin else, i just dont have any ideas

 

PIC TSO coilovers for $1550 plus a spec alignment and one weekend at the track. That would put you at 2k and make your car a monster while giving you a chance to truly use it. I am not sure why Tein Flex would cross your mind first...

If I had 2 grand, and already had a turbo kit i'd buy a set of Advan RS wheels.

 

my post wasnt vague at all dude...i said i didnt want rims until spring because of the salt, and i dont want anymore performance until summer, and i said both of those. Not necissarily in the exact way but i said i didnt want either...and i dont know what else there is to get that i good get and put on during winter without harming the part...also im askin for suggestions so i can choose for myself so back off dude...its a legit request


and can you tell me why tein flex isnt the way to go over the PIC TSO

 

Yes, it is VERY vague. You say everything you don't want, which is about everything, which leaves nothing except a bunch of random stuff. You didn't give any category that you ARE interested in.

If you don't know anything about suspension and just automatically want some overpriced, under-performing JDM pieces, then either don't touch your suspension or go right ahead and get the JDM yo. If you want to know why I am suggesting the PIC TSOs, then go a little research right here on this forum - there is much info posted in the recent past.
