Removing scratches from Defi's

I have some little hairline scratches on a BRAND new defi I just installed (on the lense). the gauge came with them and I noticed them this morning when the sun hits the gauges.

how can I remove it? can I safely try sratch-x. I contacted the shop who sold me the gauge but i doubt they will write back and or do anything about it.

anyhow little blemishes to the glass will happen, how are you guys addressing the issue of keeping them looking nice.

thanks

It's plastic, right?

Any good autobody supply store has plastic scratch remover.

Meguairs makes a clear lense scratch repair paste called "PLastX" that you can pick up at your local parts store. I have used it extensively in doing speedo gauage cluster repair/overlays, this stuff is great. Check it out...here..

On my Prosport gauges I have used Colgate toothpaste! That's right toothpaste! I also use toothpaste on my watches! It really works!

how about some 3m headlight restore kit. I fixed my old VIII tails that were severely scratched with it and they look brand new afterwards.
