For those that have put the rear wing back on...
Ok I took my wing off about 1 year ago and put it back on about 3 weeks later. I love the wingless look the older I get but I also think you should only do it with a drop which i'm not. Needless to say I have put it back on, but because i'm such a ADD perfectionist I hate how I can see the 3m doubled sized tape through the bottom.
I don't know if anyone knows what i'm talking about but since I put the wing back on I noticed that it looks like there is a larger gap between where the base of the wing meets the trunk. The wing is secure and the bolts are tightened as far as they can go. However for some reason I can see the white/tan 3m tape vary clerly when looking at it through a side view. I never noticed this when it was stock, nor did I ever care to look until now. Has anyone else ever noticed this and is the a way to correct this? Maybe I mounted the tape wrong, I don't know. I also looked for a darker colored 3m tape and could never find it.

How thick is the tape you are using? The factory adhesive tape was quite thin when I took mine off (think slab of steak versus shaved roast beef)
I also noticed the strips used were quite thin (width versus length) and were spaced in from the edges quite a bit...

Yeah I didn't pay attention to the factory spacing of the tape when I took it off. When you look at the base of the wing with it off, there are lines that I followed when putting the tape back on. The tape isn't very thick, just standard doube sided 3m tape. It doesn't even touch both sides at the rear (base of the wing and the trunk), which shows that there is still room. I wish I could see a picture of how the stock tape was positioned with the wing off. I also might have ran the tape too far sine it barely touches the trunk and the wing base towards to rear of the car.
Wingless FTW !!!
Problem solved.
Go with the Tanabe GF210 springs. Good price. Great ride. Nice drop. Terrific handling. Sahhhh Wheat !!!

How is the stability of the wing itself, it it secure or does it wobble more from side to side?

Well i don't see it through the side view mirrors. I see it just looking at the car. I wonder if I could just use foam weatherstripping instead of tape. That why it's not as thivk and it's black so it won't show up. I just don't know how secure the wing will be without the doublesided tape. I know it's bolted down but will it wobble from side to side?

If there is a small space between the spoiler to the trunk. You could use some black electrical tape. This won't stick to the paint, and you could double layer it for the right thickness.
The spoiler should be rigid once bolted back on. The Spoiler itself have a little "Guide' on each end.
I like the original spoiler, but I replaced it with a Rexpeed FRP. This not only provides low profiling, but covers up the holes to the trunk.

They used the GRAY automotive 3M double-sided tape for the factory. It the most commonly used tape for automotive applications. If you look at any vent visors, they use the GRAY tape. It's much stronger and holds better than the white/tan tape. Plus it's thinner. You can pick up a roll at most automotive stores or at Wal-mart. Here is a pic of what it looks like.
